MUST University Accreditation

MUST University is a leading online education provider offering education in 16 schools and a choice of 71 majors within these schools completely online, so that students can complete their education no matter where they may be living, without requiring to relocate.

MUST University has been accredited by the International Accreditation Organization (IAO), among the leading institutions granting global accreditation to online educational institutions.

This is a move away from regional and national accreditation towards global accreditation. Being granted global accreditation simply means that the education imparted by MUST University meets the minimum standards required by a global accreditation awarding body which in turn means that the education is appropriate for international students coming from any and all corners of the world.

A further note on global accreditation and why it is so important. In the past, accreditation has traditionally been always either regional or national. Both these levels of accreditation, however, are only applicable for universities which are “located” somewhere and whose student body primarily comprises individuals from a particular locality (even though there may be some international students present).

The education received from such an institution primarily focuses on the locality or country in which it is based, barring a few courses designated as such, and regardless of the strength of the international student population.

In contrast, online universities such as MUST are not restricted to one particular corner of the world. Because they operate over the Internet – which is by definition not restricted to a particular country – these universities too do not restrict their curriculum to the needs of a particular country.

Rather they strive to structure their programs and courses in a way that they are better suited to the needs of a global audience. For this reason, MUST will strive for global accreditation, since its programs and student body are “global”.
